Auto Cypress umbrellas are those that have a button that you push to make the umbrella open. In some cases, if you click the same button, it will close the Cypress umbrella as well. Manual California umbrellas are those where you have to open the umbrella by hand. While they may require a little more man power, these manual Cypress umbrellas are often significantly cheaper than auto umbrellas. As such, you have to ask yourself the question of price versus convenience. If price is an important factor, than you will want to stick with a manual Cypress umbrella and if it's convenience, than auto is the way for you to go.
